Mittenwald – Wildensee – Hoher Kranzberg – Ferchensee

Tour: Start at Mittenwald station, cross the picturesque town and go uphill to cable car Kranzberg. From there, go to the right and follow the signs to Wildensee (Route 829). Pass hump meadows and a needle tree forest before getting on an asphalt. After a few hundred meter get into the forest and arrive at Wildensee. Behind Berggasthof Wildensee a hiking trail (route 809)follows up to Hoher Kranzberg peak. Return south to Ferchensee and pass Lautersee before arriving in Mittenwald again.

Spitzingsee – Hike to Taubenstein

The mountain Taubenstein (1693m) is located in Magfallgebirge belonging to Schlierseer Berge near Spitzingsee.

Tour:  After the church at Spitzingsee, cross the gate and walk 100m on Valeppostraße. Keep left and follow the asphalt road uphill.  It takes 55 min to pass Oberer Maxlrainer Alm and after 2nd curve enter a small path to the right.  From now on, it will be steeper and a rockier to go up to Taubenstein cable railway and its peak.

Return: From the peak go back to the cable railway and turn left ad go down the slope.

Time: 2h uphill to Taubenstein –  1,5 return to Spitzingsee. Alltogether the roundtrip takes 4,5h
